The Steakhouse for a New Generation
The Renaissance of the classic American steakhouse back in the 1980’s was just underway when The Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse made its debut as the first New York-style steakhouse in two of Ohio’s largest markets – Cleveland & Columbus.
Going back to 1988, Hyde Park quickly established itself as a trendsetter with its chef-driven focus on food, service, décor and style – often emulated by the competition.
After several years, the Hyde Park Group recognized that those steakhouse concepts developed in the 1980’s were a bit tired. We were all offering the same over-familiar format… the (circa 1940’s) New York Chophouse – very clubby, brown-paneled, cigar-friendly men’s clubs with Sinatra heard faintly in the background.
New Century – New Generation – New Proto-Type
The Hyde Park Group recently set out to design, develop and expand an updated version of the Classic American Steakhouse – a concept that would not only appeal to the traditional male-dominated steakhouse crowd, but also attract an expanded clientele base of females and young “rat packers” for many years to come.

OUR PROTOTYPE IS IDEALLY 7,000 TO 7,500 SQUARE FOOT ON A HARD CORNER/END CAP WITH THE OPPORTUNITY FOR OUTDOOR DINING SPACE, PREFERABLY IN DOWNTOWN MARKETS OR POPULATION-DENSE URBAN AREAS. IT IS NECESSARY FOR US TO BE NEAR OFFICE COMPLEXES AND CONVENTION OR CORPORATE HOTELS.
